Lady Liberty

Hi
I was so inspired by a bible quote that I had to use it to create today's card. I want to Thank Karen for inviting me to join in the fun at Word Art Wednesdays. I chose to create this card using the Statue of Liberty for a few reasons. The Statue of Liberty has stood for freedom for 100s of years and the quote to me is regarding freedom. My interpretation of the quote is Wherever we may be God is there so feel free and bask in his love. I have fun creating these roses, none are the same but then roses seldom are. This is a double easel card.

Just Believe

Hi!
Tuesday's card is a continuation of the vintage theme..but this time with a difference. So many people doubt themselves and their abilities. Yet, if they just believed then doors would open. I thought this little girl would be perfect for the theme, "I Can Fly" with her wings and then the addition of a butterfly. Tuesday's sketch fit this card well. Thanks for the inspiration.

From Our Home

Hi
Today, Monday, the card I chose to make is a vintage card with lots of inking and distress. I titled it "From Our Home". The way in which I came to creating this card was from 3 different challenges. Thanks to Monday Mojo I had a layout. Thanks to Simon Says I had the idea of adding stamping, cardboard and washi tape. Now using those three products I knew I wanted vintage. Yet thanks to the third source I knew it had to be about a home because at Take A Word the word this week was home. I am very happy with the way this turned out. Now if your wondering what I stamped, well I stamped the cardboard with paint, the houses and the saying. I then painted the houses in.

Bee Awesome!

Hi!
Today is a nice bright card called Bee Awesome. The inspiration for this card came from three sources. I used the color challenge to inspire the color and theme. With the colors being black, yellow and green I knew I wanted flowers and maybe a bee. With the layout from the sketch the design quickly came together..and adding the piercing again reminded me of a bee. So to me this card fits all three challenges and I must say a great thank you to all coordinators of the challenges.."Thank You!"

thanx

Hi
Today's card is created as a CAS which is Clean and Simple..and generally this means keep it simple with plenty of clean space. Well as you can see this card is white with just a small tag that is embellished. Yet what embellishment I add to these types of cards are generally very bright.

I followed a sketch by Cas(e) This Sketch.

Smokin

This card was created for my husband. No, not for Father's Day but for his Birthday. His Birthday is on the 29th. He was out this evening at a meeting so I snuck in time to make the card. Luckily he does not look on this blog unless I point something out to him. Oh and for his Birthday I bought him a bbq, thus the theme.

I really liked the sketch by Sketch File so it was this sketch that gave me the rest of the inspiration for this card.

Praying

This card came about from the cute image that I carefully colored. I followed several challenges to design the card. I really appreciate the inspiration offered through these challenges. I make cards to donate to the church for them to give out. They not only send Birthday cards to every member but they often require prayer and get well cards. I followed Tuesday Morning Sketches for the design. I followed TiddlyInks for the image, flowers and button. I followed City Crafters for the color which this week was "White and Bright".

Introduction to my Digis

Hi!

I want to share with you Kosy Paper Creations Digis. The girl and firecracker are from my digital images..and a collection called July 4th Sweet Summer. The card was created for Simon Says Patterned Paper Monday Challenge.

I have been drawing for years and every time I drew something I would triple line it and then chose the best lines to use for my finished project. I feel it gives an edgy art appearance.

This card was fun to do up.

Summer Fun

For me summer fun is sunshine, plenty of sunshine and flowers. There is nothing nicer than to sip tea, eat sweets, enjoy the sunshine while sitting in my summer garden, and enjoying the sweet smell of the flowers. Thus here is my summer fun card.

Bon Voyage

Hi!
Here is today's card. I had fun creating it and it is all done by hand except for die circle. I painted it the image in watercolor. Then inked over it. Even the air plane is hand created. I followed Simon Says Monday Challenge, travel. I also used a sketch from Mojo Monday.

Christmas Treezzz

I decided to venture into adding my zens to my Cards after reading in a card magazine that this is popular. I really love the look! This worked so well with the Christmas Challenge at Christmas Throwdown due to its color challenge.

I used different inks for the card and even added a sparkly pearlized water color ink by Dale and Rowney  which added even more sparkle. The snowflakes were cut out of sparkled cardstock.

Beautiful Wishes

This was made later in the afternoon. One of my choices in color is bright because it is cheerful. Yellow reminds me of sunny days. For thiscard I chose to follow the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I chose diagonal = yellow, ink splatters and scalloped border. Now the scan did not come out the greatest but I did the best I could with it. I decided to enter this into another challenge..Vintage by Dream Valley

Thinking of You

This card was created for the challenge June Elemental by DaringCardmakers. You were given the following image and had to select three elements from the image.

I chose the palette, the top second image of a fringed dangle, and added a balloon.

Have a Happy Day

Hi this card was created for the challenge "CASE this Sketch". I painted in Watercolor the sliced scene on the card. I then cut it to fit the challenge. I created the banner and put it all together. While creating the water color all Ikept humming was "Blue skies smiling at me, nothing but blue skies do I see!" As a water color artist, summer skies are often depicted with touches of green.

Wednesday Challenge Card

Hi
This card was designed to fit several challenges and the finished product became a Sympathy Card. The soft green color gives a comforting feel to it and the cream color reinforces the warmth. The patterned design is filligree with a few leaves. I created the leaf pattern by masking out the center so that the leaf did not go under the wood filligree. The leaf was a stencil created by a die which I masked by coloring over it with pan pastels. I then set the pastels with a spray.

Above is the color challenge from Color Throwdown and the Layout by Tuesday Morning Sketches and the way it was designed was from Simon Says Wednesday Challenge which was masking.
